Includes: The 100-page Teacher’s Guide in a loose-leaf
binder,100 Braille alphabet cards, three paperback books with
stories by and about ordinary blind people, master copy of
the student instruction book and workbook, and one slate and
stylus for writing (embossing) Braille dots. The Teacher’s
Guide is structured in five units with a variety of learning
formats including group discussions, interactive games, and
applied projects. Parts of the program can be used together
or alone.
Video

Option 1: Includes two videos, Jake and the Secret Code (for
children) and That the Blind May Read (adults),
a 30-page video discussion guide and resource list
with instructions on how
to demonstrate writing Braille with a slate and stylus
(which are also included in the set), and a Braille
alphabet card.

2: A second video of Jake and the Secret
Code is substituted

This program has all the materials needed to instruct a typical
classroom of children. It includes the Teacher’s
Guide,

book and workbook, a ream of Braille paper, 12 sets of
slates
and
styli, 48 paperback books with real and fictional stories
about Braille and living with blindness, 30 Braille
alphabet cards, a teacher’s guide on teaching Braille writing
with a slate and stylus, and materials and instructions
for doing Braille service projects.

3 cents apiece or $3.00 for a pack of 100. **
