Braille Monitor February 2007
While the national conversation about accessible U.S. currency occupies the attention of the American public, the National Federation of the Blind is pleased to report the mid-January 2007 release of updated software for the Kurzweil–National Federation of the Blind Reader. The new release features a currency identifier. This timely development will provide even more independence to blind users of this innovative handheld technology. Again the National Federation of the Blind leads the way in offering a relevant and constructive solution to an issue currently being deliberated in the blindness community and the federal courts.
