Albuquerque, New Mexico

August 28, 2009

Dear President Obama:

My name is Tara Sena. I am twenty-one years old, and I have been a Braille reader since I was three. Over the past eighteen years I have successfully graduated from elementary, middle, and high school. I am currently a senior at the University of New Mexico, working toward a bachelor of arts degree in the field of linguistics and a minor in international management. Without the use of Braille I would not have been able to accomplish so much in my life. I am able to read books for pleasure as well as my textbooks in Braille and do mathematics and statistics in Braille. Without the use of Braille, I would not be the person I am today. I feel very fortunate to have learned Braille in school. Please help us and urge everyone you know to purchase a Louis Braille Commemorative Silver Dollar.

Sincerely,

Tara Sena
