Additional Information

The program in Tenessee will be two weeks filled with hands on learning and fun filled activities. It will teach children about braille, nonvisual skills such as cane travel, preparing their own meals, identifying money, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to enteract with successful and independent blind mentors during the program. There will be two field trips which participants will attend. The first is lunch at a local restaurant followed by an audio described movie at a local theater. Our second trip will be either to the Memphis zoo or museum. This program is open to both children who are blind, have low vision, or sighted  between the age of 4-12.
