Support Service Provider Volunteer Form

The National Federation of the Blind National Convention is the largest gathering of blind people in the nation. To optimize participation in the convention by members who are DeafBlind, the DeafBlind Division of the National Federation of the Blind is seeking Support Service Providers willing to volunteer their time to support DeafBlind attendees. Volunteers will provide access to communication which will include environmental information and facilitating communication between DeafBlind attendees and others at convention.

We will do our very best to match people from within the same state affiliate. We will also make sure that people who use tactile sign language get matched with someone who has experience using some sign. Of course, it should be noted that all volunteers are expected to abide by the code of conduct. Finally, all volunteers will receive a gift, but they should attend the training that is currently scheduled for July 3, 2024 starting at 10:00 AM at a room which will be named in the convention agenda when it is published.

If you are a DeafBlind convention attendee seeking to request a Support Service Provider, please email [email protected].
