While the national conversation about accessible
U.S. currency occupies the attention of the American public, the National
Federation of the Blind is pleased to report the mid-January 2007 release
of updated software for the KurzweilNational Federation of the Blind
Reader. The new release features a currency identifier. This timely development
will provide even more independence to blind users of this innovative
handheld technology. Again the National Federation of the Blind leads
the way in offering a relevant and constructive solution to an issue currently
being deliberated in the blindness community and the federal courts. For
further information about the KurzweilNational Federation of the Blind
Reader, visit <www.nfb.org> or call (877) 708-1724. Pictured here
