On May 8, 2007, the National Library Service�s Northern and Southern Conference of the Librarians Serving the Blind and Physically Handicapped, who were meeting in Baltimore, came to the National Center for the Blind for lunch in Members Hall, afternoon presentations for their conference, and small-group tours of the Center and the Jernigan Institute. Both President Maurer and Interim Executive Director of the Jernigan Institute Mark Riccobono welcomed the group and addressed them briefly.
