Welcome to the NFB of Oregon and the NFB of Washington's residential NFB Bell Academy! This Academy serves blind and low-vision children between the ages of eight and thirteen years of age. Students will enhance their Braille, mobility, daily living skills and socialization skills. Parents, grandparents, or guardians should be prepared to stay for our parent program and dinner on August 4 and arrive in time for our closing ceremony on August 10.
We anticipate a field trip to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry during our academy. Please be sure to bring your car booster seat if your child uses one. The more compact the better. Registration is eighty-five dollars per student. Scholarships are available. All meals are provided. Families will need to drop off their student on August 4 at noon and pick up on August 10 at 3:00 p.m. For more information or additional questions please contact Kris or Justin.
