Our academy is a one-week, residential program. If students live locally or parents opt to stay locally (at their own expense), students may attend as day students. The registration fee for day students is $100 and residential students is 150 dollars. Our classes include Braille reading and writing, assistive technology, Nemeth, tactile graphics, and daily living skills.

All meals will be provided. If your student has a special diet, we will work with you to devise a plan. Breakfast is served at the apartments to residential students. Day students should eat before coming each day.

Parents/guardians are responsible for transporting your student to Ruston on Sunday, June 4 and back home on Saturday, June 10. Day students will be transported by their parents to and from the program daily, but will travel with us on the bus for any community field trips.

Our program is taught by certified teachers of the blind/visually-impaired and orientation and mobility instructors. Your student will meet many blind role models and friends. Graduation and family day will take place on Saturday, June 10 and parents are required to attend. The deadline to register is April 30.
