On January 23, 2001, a group of officials from the Marriott Corporation came to the National Center for the Blind to tour the facility and learn about our programs and our plans for the future. They spent the day with President Maurer and joined NFB officials for lunch in the IBTC Conference Room. Several weeks later the Marriott Corporation made a gift to our building campaign of $500,000.
