The Blind Kids Cane

by Jesse Bollinger

I am a blind kids cane.

I hate it when Im tapped against the ground.

I hate getting stuck in the cracks of the floor and bumping into legs.

Oh, No, No, not the wall!

Wack! Ou-Ou-Ouch!

But sometimes Im happy like when he lays me on Mrs. Mitchells floor and I fall asleep.

One more thing...I love being rolled across the floor by Jesses foot.

It makes me laugh.

Jesse wrote this poem when he was 11. He lives in Pennsylvania and is now 15, and, as his mother wrote, has gone through many a cane.
