More Than a Hashtag—Learn How to Connect with #NFB22 Attendees
The 2022 National Convention of the National Federation of the Blind is two weeks away. A great way to engage during the convention is to share your experiences on social media. Our official hashtag this year is #NFB22. If you are new to hashtags, a hashtag is using the # symbol in front of any word or phrase to tag your posts. It will then become a link within that platform. When someone clicks that hashtag, they will find all public posts that use that exact term. Attend our Social Media 101 to learn more about the hashtag, as well as to get your profile started and your newsfeeds ready for #NFB22. Registration is not required.
Social Media 101: June 21 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern
Join the National Federation of the Blind Communications Team for an introduction into social media–specifically Facebook and Twitter. We will be covering engagement tips and technical navigation of these two platforms.
- In advance, please download either or both the Twitter or Facebook apps, which are available on iOS and Android devices. Setting up a profile and engaging on these platforms can also be done via a desktop by going to Facebook.com or Twitter.com.
There will be time for Q&A; however, please feel free to send questions in advance to Danielle McCann at [email protected] or 410-659-9314, extension 2246. We are excited to connect with you about social media.
How to Access Social Media 101
The #NFB22 Social Media 101 will be available on Zoom, via web or phone, and on the 1CapApp.
