Committees of the National Federation of the Blind are appointed by the President, with the exception of the nominating committee, and serve to advise the organization’s national leadership on important matters and to carry out projects to build the organization at all levels. Committee appointments generally run the calendar year--January 1 to December 31. Committees are working entities at the national level and are not merely honorary positions. Committee appointments are based on many factors. Members are able to contribute to the organization’s work regardless of service on a national committee. This form must be filled out for every national committee that you wish to express interest in. This data will be used by the Office of the President in considering committee appointments.
