“My determination, mentors, and the National Federation of the Blind helped change my life trajectory. After being introduced to the NFB, I began to further embrace my potential. Most importantly, I was a confident, independent woman who just happened to be blind.” – Member from Ohio

“James and I joined in 2011 when he started losing his vision. The NFB gave us the resources and confidence to live the lives we wanted. James passed in January 2021 and I have continued to be active. I recently had to update my will and I included the National Federation of the Blind. I know that James inspired me to be my best and I will continue to do all I can to pass that on to others. Thank you for keeping his light burning.” – Sylvia, NFB member
