State Braille Literacy Bills

The following thirty-four states have adopted Braille literacy bills. This legislation has been passed in various forms, although most bills are based on a model prepared by the National Federation of the Blind. Two states had passed Braille literacy legislation and then later amended them to conform to the NFB model.
