The National Federation of the Blind established the Blind Owned and Operated Marketplace to connect and facilitate opportunities for those businesses to thrive and contribute to the Federation community. Share your business by completing the form. Please anticipate approximately two weeks for the submission to be processed and added to the Marketplace.
Eligibility and Verification Policy
Businesses listed on nfb.org/boom self-certify that they are majority-owned by individuals who are blind. In certain cases, we may request voluntary documentation to verify ownership. We also encourage community members to report any concerns about listings. Verified businesses may receive a badge indicating additional verification.
Our goal is to celebrate and amplify blind entrepreneurship consistent with the mission of the National Federation of the Blind. For purposes of this program a blind-owned business is any for profit or nonprofit venture which is at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more blind individuals. The blind owner(s) must also control the day-to-day operations and make long-term decisions for the business.
