The NFB BELL® Academy provides children with Braille and nonvisual skills instruction through fun, hands-on learning activities. The NFB BELL Academy—which stands for National Federation of the Blind (NFB) Braille Enrichment for Literacy and Learning (BELL)—is a nationwide summer program that prepares blind and low-vision children to grow into confident and independent blind people who live the lives they want. There are NFB BELL Academy programs offered both in person and virtually.
Please complete the following form to register for the NFB BELL Academy. The registration process may take approximately 20-30 minutes. You may wish to have your student’s IEP or latest progress report to assist you in answering the questions related to your student’s knowledge of Braille and other nonvisual skills. If registering for an in-person program you will also need your student’s medical insurance information, list of medications and emergency contact information. All of the information requested is necessary to run fun, educational, and safe programs for our students, so thank you for taking the time to fill it out completely.
