Coast-to-Coast Movement Challenge

Blind and sighted runners warm up for the 6 Dot Dash

At the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), we believe in the importance of movement, community, and strength.

Join us throughout the year as we participate in events to foster movement, fellowship, and support opportunities for blind people.

Upcoming Events

Chapter Participation

Our NFB chapters and affiliates can take part in the 2026 Coast-to-Coast Movement Challenge, a nationwide effort to build public awareness, strengthen local engagement, build personal relationships among chapter members, and raise funds to support our mission.

Learn how chapters can join the challenge with their own movement activities.

Bay Bridge Run

The Bay Bridge Run is an annual 10k walk and run across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Annapolis, Maryland. For the third year in a row, the NFB will cross the bridge together as a charity partner. More details and registration will be available soon.

Philadelphia Marathon

For the first time, the NFB will be joining the Philadelphia Marathon as a Silver charity partner! There will be three races across the race weekend—a marathon, half marathon, and 8k. We are seeking runners to join team NFB Dreamers and run on behalf of the NFB in any of the three races.

To learn more information and to register to run with Team NFB, please contact Rachel Held at [email protected] or 410-659-9314, extension 2423.

California International Marathon

The NFB is excited to have a presence at the California International Marathon again in 2026. Stay tuned for information on how to support our runners.
