Diabetes Action Network Elects New Board

DIABETES ACTION NETWORK ELECTS NEW BOARD

The annual business meeting of the Diabetes Action Network of
the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) took place on July 6, 1998, at the
NFB Annual Convention in Dallas, Texas.
The 1998-99 Diabetes Action Network Board is:
PRESIDENT: Ed Bryant (Columbia, MO)
FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT: Janet Lee (Cedar, MN)
SECOND VICE-PRESIDENT: Sandie Addy (Prescott Valley, AZ)
TREASURER: Bruce Peters (Akron, OH)
SECRETARY: Sally York (Castro Valley, CA)
BOARD-MEMBERS-AT-LARGE: Gisela Distel (Albany, NY)
Eric Woods (Denver, CO).
The two new members of our board are Bruce Peters and Gisela
Distel, both experienced Federationists. Gisela, who has served as president
of the National Federation of the Blind of New York, is now president of the
NFB of New York's Albany Chapter. Bruce is currently NFB of Ohio Akron Chapter
president.
All our leaders "lead by example," and the new board
should be no exception! Look for great things!
