DIABETES ACTION NETWORK SEMINAR

At the 2001 convention

of the National Federation of the Blind, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, our

Diabetes Action Network will have its seminar and business meeting. It will

be held on Tuesday, July 3, from 1:30 to 4 pm. There will be a presentation

about a new talking device that will provide information on any prescription

medication (insulin included), and an insulin pump company representative will

be present.

Our keynote speaker will

be a diabetes educator (CDE) who will answer diabetes questions and discuss

adaptive equipment for blind diabetics.

Once again, we will have

our "Make the President Pay" diabetes quiz game -- and President Ed Bryant says

he will give a nice donation to the Division for each right answer! Our seminar

is free and open to the public. Its location will be posted in the agenda (provided

when you register).
