Diabetes is incurable. It imposes restrictions on your lifestyle,
causes a long list of complications, and can shorten your life. To survive,
you have to diligently follow a prescribed routine, one you did not choose.
On top, you can go blind. Diabetes is not subtle, and the emotional aspects
need to be considered.

Introduction
Diabetes is a common medical problem which
affects the body's ability to regulate blood sugar levels. Over a
period of years, high blood sugar will damage small blood vessels
in the body and often cause problems such as kidney failure,
sensory abnormalities in the hands and feet, and eye problems.
